PRE-NATAL YOGA with Marcela Heffron, P.T. 

All Levels; New session: tba - as students can fill the class.

8-week session: $120.  

 

Pre Natal Yoga is a chance for you to gently prepare your mind and body for the experience of birth.  Awaiting your baby's arrival is a challenging and exciting time.   Using proper yoga techniques and knowledge of the birthing process itself, (Marcela just had her baby in November!) you will learn to prepare your body for amazing process.   Be in the comfort of other women in this nurturing and relaxing class.

Dynamic Body Dance! with Darlene Bradlee

Saturdays ~ 9:40-10:30 am.  By drop in ($12) or class card. 

Zumba is a fitness class with high energy and motivating music that includes Latin and international rhythmns, with moves from salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggeton, flamenco, country and hip hop!  It's founder, Alberto "Beto" Perez, an accomplished dancer and inspiring trainer, has created routines with fast/slow combinations to tone and sculpt the body through aerobic and interval training.  But best of all, it's FUN! 

Please bring: a water bottle, towel, and carry in your dance sneakers or tennis shoes.  (street shoes not allowed in the studio;  Running shoes are not good footwear for this class as they don't allow for lateral movement). 

I can order dance sneakers for you if you need them!  Please contact me at the studio.

Darlene began a love for dance and movement at the age of five.  She was introduced to yoga at age ten, and since that time, these two disciplines have steadfastly remained soulful passions for her.  Following a twenty five year span of teaching jazz dance to adults, she has taken on the latin rhythms and Zumba.  "It's fun to bring out the dancer in everyone; the steps and combos are challenging but inclusive to all..." RESTORATIVE YOGA: Friday evenings, 7-8:30 PM

Dates and Instructors vary. Restorative Yoga is a chance to encourage the body into a state of deep relaxation.  In the dark, cold months of winter we need to contain and restore our body's energies by allowing for stillness in body and mind.  We can access this state by practicing certain gentle and sustained yoga postures in a warm and supported manner.  This 1.5 hour yoga session promotes this deeply relaxed state.

This special class is limited to 14; class cards may be used, but please pre-register by calling, emailing or signing up at the studio.  No class card? $20 per person.
