March, 2008:

ZUMBA! All Levelsstarts Friday, March 28 ~ 5:30-6:30 pm

8-week session: $112; or drop in by class card.

Zumba is a fitness class with high energy and motivating music that includes Latin and international rhythmns, with moves from salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggeton, flamenco, country and hip hop!  It's founder, Alberto "Beto" Perez, an accomplished dancer and inspiring trainer, has created routines with fast/slow combinations which tone and sculpt the body through aerobic and interval training.  But best of all, it's FUN!

So, ditch the workout, and join the party!

Please bring: a water bottle, towel, and carry in your dance sneakers or tennis shoes.  (street shoes not allowed in the studio; running shoes are not good footwear for this class as they don't allow for lateral movement).  (www.dance4less.com and

www.discountdance.com are websites that sell dance sneakers).

instructors for this class:

Antonia Clifford has been working in the fitness industry for over 20 years, currently as a certified cycling instructor and Zumba instructor.  A former professional ballerina with the Boston Ballet, New York City Ballet and Joffrey Ballet Company, she left the stage and got into the gym as an aerobics instructor and personal trainer.  Antonia also dallied in indoor rowing, and placed 7th in the 1992 International Crash B Sprints held at MIT.  Not wanting to focus solely on the physical, she earned a BA in English and an MBA in Statistics and Behavior from Suffolk University.  A passion for competitive bike racing introduced Antonia to her husband, and she now lives in Norwell with two beautiful daughters, ages five and six.

Darlene Bradlee began a love for dance and movement at the age of five.  She was introduced to yoga at age ten, and since that time, these two disciplines have steadfastly remained soulful passions for her.  Following a twenty five year span of teaching jazz dance to adults, her yoga classes are a joyful blend of vinyasa flow with attention to proper alignment, highly influenced by her overall knowledge of the body as a dancer. She also holds a Fine Art Degree and is a successful visual artist.  See more info about Darlene in the ABOUT section...
